"Being a patient with a cardiac diagnosis can be frightening and confusing. Choosing among various treatment
options can be a complex process for a patient, especially in this era of easy accessibility of information.
Because of this, without guidance it can be difficult for a patient to know which treatment is best for them.
As a physician, I strongly believe that it is my role to be my Patient’s Advocate while guiding them through
all aspects of cardiac disease, diagnosis, and treatment.
I believe that treatment should be tailored to the
individual patient and in addition to invasive treatments there are many excellent conservative options
available as well. The practice of Cardiology is extremely rewarding and gives me a sense of pride not only
from successful diagnosis and treatment, but also from the involvement in each patient’s personalized treatment
plan and helping them to commit to a lifestyle change."
